Terms of Service
This page is maintained by TrustZim to answer common questions about how the platform works. It is not legal advice or an independent certification. Please read these terms carefully before using TrustZim.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, starting a deal, or using any part of TrustZim, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction. You may only use TrustZim for lawful transactions. Businesses and individuals are both welcome, but you must provide accurate information about yourself.
TrustZim may not be used for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity. This includes — but is not limited to — scams, drug sales, weapons, counterfeit goods, human trafficking, gambling violations, or any form of violence including murder for hire.
We do not accept fraudulent deals. We do not allow drugs, murder for hire, or any other illegal activity. If we review chat or deal evidence and find proof of this, we reserve the right to ban the accounts involved and to hand over the funds and records to the appropriate authorities for anti-money laundering (AML) and law enforcement purposes.
We reserve the right to refuse service, freeze funds, close accounts, and cooperate fully with law enforcement when we suspect prohibited use.
4. Escrow and payments
TrustZim holds the buyer's payment in escrow until the buyer confirms delivery. The seller receives the agreed deal value; the buyer pays the deal value plus the platform fee and applicable VAT on the fee. Detailed fee breakdowns are shown before payment.
Currently, escrow is funded by cryptocurrency through our payment partner. Card, bank transfer, and mobile-money funding are shown as coming soon and are not available for live deals until announced.
You agree to follow the deal flow honestly: only mark an item as delivered when it has actually been delivered, and only release funds when you have received what was agreed.
5. Disputes
Either party may open a dispute while funds are in escrow or after delivery. Opening a dispute freezes the funds. The TrustZim dispute team reviews the chat history, deal terms, delivery evidence, and any notes provided by the parties.
Decisions are made based on the evidence available in the platform. TrustZim's decision on releasing funds, refunding the buyer, or continuing the dispute is final for that case.
6. Anti-money laundering and law enforcement
We monitor activity for signs of fraud, money laundering, and other illegal conduct. If we identify suspicious activity we may suspend accounts, freeze funds, and report the matter to relevant authorities.
All chat messages and deal records may be reviewed for compliance, safety, and dispute resolution purposes. By using TrustZim, you consent to this review.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, creates risk, or is inactive for an extended period. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised date. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
