Safe deals.
No scams.
Zimbabwe first.
Buying online in Zimbabwe means trusting a stranger with your money. TrustZim holds the payment until the buyer confirms delivery — so nobody has to go first.

How TrustZim works
Five simple steps, from first message to money released.
Step 1
Chat
Talk to your buyer or seller inside TrustZim. Every message is kept as evidence.
Step 2
Agree the deal
Set the item, price and delivery window. Both sides accept before anything moves.
Step 3
Buyer funds escrow
Money is held by TrustZim — the seller can see it is there, but cannot touch it.
Step 4
Seller delivers
The seller ships or hands over and marks the deal as delivered.
Step 5
Buyer confirms
Funds release to the seller. If something is wrong, open a dispute instead.
One flat 5% fee. Nothing else.
A flat 5% platform fee on the deal value, plus 15.5% VAT on that fee. No monthly cost, no listing fee, no hidden charges. The seller always receives 100% of the agreed price.
Example: a $100 deal
Mobile money and bank transfer charges such as IMTT are applied by the payment provider, not by TrustZim.
Built for how Zimbabwe pays
Fund an escrow with the rails you already use — cards from the diaspora, or stablecoins for instant cross-border settlement.
- Cards — Visa and Mastercard for diaspora buyers sending money home.
- Crypto — Bitcoin, USDT and USDC for fast cross-border settlement.
- USD pricing — every deal is priced and settled in US dollars.
- Dispute protection — funds freeze the moment a dispute is opened.
Use TrustZim for any deal
If you are paying someone you have not met, escrow removes the risk.
Buying a car
Inspect and verify the vehicle before the seller gets paid. The seller knows the money is real and reserved.
Hiring an artist
Commission logos, art, or music. Release payment only when the final work is delivered and approved.
Rent deposit
Hold a deposit safely until the landlord confirms the keys or the lease terms are satisfied.
Phones and electronics
Buy devices from strangers online. Test the item before funds are released to the seller.
Freelance work
Pay contractors and remote workers when milestones are met, not before.
Anything else
Any deal where one person has to pay before receiving the item is safer with escrow.
How disputes work
If something goes wrong, TrustZim freezes the funds and helps both sides resolve it.
Open a dispute
Either party can open a dispute while funds are in escrow. The funds are frozen immediately.
Share evidence
The chat history, deal terms, and delivery notes are already recorded. Add any extra details you want reviewed.
TrustZim reviews
Our dispute team looks at the evidence and decides whether to release funds to the seller or refund the buyer.
Outcome
The decision is applied directly to the escrow. Funds are released or returned based on the evidence.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about TrustZim.
Who pays the TrustZim fee?
The buyer pays the platform fee and VAT on top of the deal value. The seller receives the full agreed price.
What payment methods are available?
Crypto escrow is live now. Card, bank transfer, and mobile money are coming soon.
What if the seller never delivers?
The buyer can open a dispute. The funds stay frozen while TrustZim reviews the chat and deal evidence, then refunds the buyer if the seller did not deliver.
Can the seller keep the money if the buyer disappears?
No. If the buyer does not respond after delivery, funds auto-release to the seller after the agreed auto-release period.
Prohibited uses
